MVoIP is a softphone or VoIP client that runs on Symbian OS devices. It enables to make and receive VoIP call from a mobile handset through Wi-Fi or 3G networks.

4 User interface features

5 Supported Phones

All Nokia phones equipped with Wi-Fi running on S60 3rd FP1 & FP2. S60 v5 devices will soon be supported.

MVoIP versions for both iPhone and Windows mobile are currently under development.

• Based on SIPv2 - Session Initiation Protocol ver.2 (RFC3261)
• Supports Re-register/Re-invite, Digest authentication with MD5, Redundant proxy, SIP Option, Alert-Info header
• Compliant with SIP/SDP RFC
• Supports In-band/Out-of-band, SIP Info, SIP Subscribe-Notify
• Supports NAT traversal with STUN (RFC3489) or Symmetric response Routing (RFC3581)

Current development

We are currently working on Voice Call Continuity to enables smooth handover between operator GSM networks and Wifi network.
